As part of our year-long launch, Animal Assisted Academy is hosting conversations with pioneers in the field of Animal Assisted Services—those who have helped shape the profession into what it is today and continue to inspire the next generation of practitioners.

Animal Assisted Academy had the honor of speaking with the ‘godfather’ of Animal Assisted Services—Dr. Aubrey Fine. His leadership, scholarship, and

advocacy have laid much of the foundation for how we practice AAS across the world.

The goal of this interview was to reflect on how far this field has come, discuss current challenges, and look forward to where we’re headed—always with the wellbeing of both humans and animals at the heart of our work.
